New Delhi: Pakistan is in a "confused and shocking state of mind" after the surgical strikes by the Indian army in PoK, a pro-RSS journal has said, wondering why on one hand it is in denial mode and on the other saying it will retaliate if India repeats the action.
The editorial in 'Organiser' lauded the bravery of the security forces as also the "political will" exhibited by the country's leadership in giving the "nuclear blackmailer" a "shock therapy" and terrorists a stern message.
It said the action was "a tight slap" on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's critics over his frequent foreign visits that helped get India the backing of other nations following the strikes.
"Pakistan on the one hand being in denial mode and on the other hand saying ?if India attempts this again, Pakistan will retaliate?, clearly shows not only the confused but a shocking state of mind. The nuclear blackmailer got the shock therapy and terrorist outfits got the stern message," it said.
The editorial also said there is not a single reaction against India after the well-calibrated military operation and barring China giving advice for bilateral talks, nobody even bothered to react.
"This shows the strength of Bharat's diplomatic manoeuvring skills. This is also a tight slap for the critics of PM Modi's foreign visit who forget the fact that every small or big nation is important when you have to deal with a troubling neighbour like Pakistan.
"Another most critical aspect of this operation is the exhibition of political will," the editorial said.
PM Modi's efforts to take all political parties into confidence on the matter was also applauded in the editorial which said, "In tune with the collective resolve of all-party meetings, no compromise on ?national security? is no longer just rhetoric but an exhibitory message."
It said the elimination of terror launch pads in a surgical manner certainly told the story of a "new and resurgent Bharat".
"For us as nation the concept of ?power? was never meant for dominating or exploiting others but always perceived as a tool to serve the humanity. While celebrating Vijayadashmi, which is a symbol of victory of good over evil, we should also salute the brave soldiers and stand with the righteous leadership," the journal said.
The journal's cover article said that by going beyond the rhetoric, the Narendra Modi government had injected a new element to which Pakistan was not used to.
"In Islamabad, the reaction has therefore been extremely muted or confused. While the (Pakistani) Army has denied any surgical strike by India, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his Defence Minister have condemned the attack and said any such future attack will get a befitting reply. Clearly it is advantageous for India at this moment. Now the government must keep up the pressure on all fronts - economic, political, and diplomatic?- besides retaining the option to use a military response whenever it feels Pakistan needs to be punished," it said.
