Pakistani terrorist Naveed Yakub feels homesick, misses family, wept in jail
Naveed Yakub - nabbed during Udhampur terror attack - is missing his kith and kin in jail and requesting the authorities to connect him to his family through phone.
New Delhi: Lashkar-e-Toiba trained Pakistani terrorist Naveed Yakub – nabbed during Udhampur terror attack – is missing his kith and kin in jail and requesting the authorities to connect him to his family through phone.
According to a Hindustan Times report, Naveed, who is lodged in Jammu jail, had submitted an application to the special court, giving two new phone numbers and requesting the judge to allow him to speak to his family.
“The court has marked the application to the Jammu jail administration for action,” HT quoted an NIA official as saying.
However, the numbers provided by Naveed are either switched off or not reachable.
“It is highly unlikely that any of the numbers provided by Naveed would be active as the Pakistani spy agency has mounted a huge effort to wipe out his Faisalabad connection,” the official further added.
Initially he used to weep in jail while remembering his family, but later calmed down, report states.
Naveed, who is in his 20s, has two brothers and a sister.
