"We can't force our ideology and thinking on others. All the people residing in the country are our own," Bhagwat said adding that, "We have to build ourselves in a manner that we build a Bharat where everyone chants 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' voluntarily."

According to PTI report, the RSS chief was speaking after inaugurating 'Kisan bhawan' at historic Smriti Bhawan in Lucknow. Interestingly, AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi, who had earlier objected Bhagwat over his statement and had said that he would not chant 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' slogan, was also present in the city.

It was two weeks before when the RSS chief had quoted, "Now the time has come when we have to tell the new generation to chant `Bharat Mata Ki Jai. It should be a real, spontaneous part of all-round development of the youth."

Bhagwat's latest statement on the issue is set to give rise to new debate with many likely to show their support to the Hindu nationalist organisation and many expressing their displeasure to it.

He will stay in Lucknow until Tuesday when he would dedicate newly built rooms at Madhav Ashram near Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI).
