New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Thursday stayed the execution of a non-bailable warrant against BJP leader Subramanian Swamy after he was charged by an Assam court for an alleged hate speech.

After the verdict, Swamy took to Twitter to share his thoughts.


"SC today stayed the arrestwarrant issued by Karimganj Court. I will now move court to seek the quashing of the Complaint itself soon," he posted.


The Karimganj Court had issued summons against him in March after he had allegedly delivered an inflammatory speech in Kaziranga University.
