As per DGP (Law and Order), Punjab, three Pakistani militants along with a local are believed to be travelling in a grey Swift Dzire car with a cache of arms and ammunition.

They are also believed to be carrying a suicide belt and as per inputs received by the Punjab Police from the Special Cell of Delhi Police, the terrorists are likely to cross the Banihal Tunnel in Jammu and Kashmir later tonight.

NDTV reported the number plate of the said car to be JK-01 AB-2654.

The alert is being taken seriously as earlier in January this year, Pakistani terrorists had crossed into India through the border in Punjab and targeted the Pathankot Air Force base in a daring attack.

The terrorists had used two cars - one snatched from a senior police officer and another from a taxi driver (whom they murdered) - to travel to the airbase.
