Mehbooba Mufti has instructed the police to apologise to the Kashmiri youth for the killing of Burhan Wani.

Reportedly, Mehbooba Mufti also instructed policemen to remain invisible from the roads and streets, a report in TOI claimed quoting a senior police officer who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Earlier, CM Mufti had shocked everyone when she said that security forces were not aware that Burhan Wani was among the three Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists gunned down on July 8 during the raid of a militant hideout in Kokernag area of southern Anantnag.

Mufti said the security forces “may have given him a second chance,” if they knew his identity.

This statement by CM Mufti drew her severe flak from various sections.
