Snapdeal employee Dipti Sarna reaches home, police and family remain tight-lipped over her recovery
However, despite repeated questionings from media, police and her family remained tight-lipped over the reasons for her disappearance and the circumstances under which she was recovered.
New Delhi: Almost 36 hours after she went missing on Wednesday night, the Snapdeal employee Dipti Sarna on Friday morning reached her home in Ghaziabad.
According to the the police, Sarna re-appeared in Panipat and called her parents.
"She (Dipti) is fit, fine and back home. We can say with confidence that she has not been subjected to any physical harm. She called her parents this morning and told them that she is on her way to Ghaziabad from Panipat. She is safe and with her family. Dipti went missing 30 hours ago. Around 200 police personnel were put in action. Entire area was extensively searched," said Dharmendra Singh, SSP.

The 23-year-old works in the IT department of the shopping website Snapdeal. The police had launched a massive hunt to trace her after she went missing on Wednesday night while on her way to home in Ghaziabad from her office in Gurgaon.
On Wednesday night, she left the Metro station around 8.30 p.m. and took a 'shared' auto-rickshaw along with three other passengers, including a woman.
After getting into the vehicle, she telephoned her father Narendra Sharma. Since then Dipti was missing and her phone was switched off.
