Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has slammed political leaders from the opposition who have questioned the veracity of the encounter killing of eight SIMI activists in Bhopal.

Speaking to media persons after he paid respects to Head Constable Ramashankar Yadav, who laid down his life fighting the SIMI men when they broke out of the Bhopal Central Prison, Chouhan said, “He sacrificed his life fighting against terrorists,came here to pay my last tributes to him.”


“Some political leaders cannot see the martyrdom of our jawan. Will give Rs 10 lakh compensation to family, 5 lakh for his daughter's marriage and the colony will be renamed in his name,” he added.


“Some people are doing vote bank politics on this matter which is highly condemnable, one must refrain from doing this,” the CM said.


Yadav's funeral was conducted to today amid slogans of 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' in Bhopal. Thousands of people attended the ceremony to pay their respects to the martyr.
