"Old Friends, New Partners: A range of bilateral issues on the table during EAM @SushmaSwaraj's GCC Joint Ministerial," tweeted External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup.

The GCC is a regional intergovernmental political and economic union consisting of all Arab states of the Persian Gulf, except for Iraq. Its member states are the oil producing countries of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

The ministerial meeting follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the UAE last month.
