Three medical students allegedly committed suicide by jumping into a well near the college campus at Kallakurichi in Villupuram in Tamil Nadu. Their bodies were recovered from the well on Saturday. The girls were identified as T Monisha (19) of Chennai, A Saranya (19) of Kancheepuram and V Priyanka (19), all second year students.

In a suicide note left behind, the girls blamed the college administration of extorting money in the name of tution fee and accused the college chairman Vasuki Subramaniam for their death. The note also mentioned that the girls were forcefully made to do mental jobs at the college and were not allowed to study.

Parents of one of the deceased girl had filed a petition in Madras High Court seeking a fresh autopsy to be conducted in Chennai on their daughter Monisha. In their petition, they claimed that their daughter didn't commit suicide but was murdered.

The parents also sought a CB-CID into the matter.

The Madras High Court today ordered that a fresh autopsy be conducted on Monisha, one of the deceased.
