Now, a report has claimed that former IAF chief SP Tyagi was codenamed "Giuli" - Italian for 'gorgeous girl' - by the European middlemen.

The 'gorgeous girl' codename was revealed after investigators analysed taped conversations of accessed Rs 3600 crore VVIP chopper scam, a report in TOI said.

According to AgustaWestland investigators, "Giuli" is often written as "Giulia" too.

Noteworthy, Guido Ralph Haschke and Carlo Gerosa are the middlemen who are heard referring to Tyagi as "Giuli" in the tapes accessed by investigators.

Earlier, the 225-page verdict by the Milan Court of Appeals (an Italian court) said that there was "reasonable belief that corruption took place" in the 2010 VVIP helicopter deal and the former Indian Air Force chief SP Tyagi was involved.

Also, the verdict says that a bribe of Rs 125 bribe was given to Indian politicians.

The 225-page verdict also mentions name of one 'Signora Gandhi'. After this Congress president Sonia Gandhi is under fire from BJP.

The verdict also mentions Congress leaders Manmohan Singh, Oscar Fernandes and Ahmed Patel.
