When Sushma Swaraj responded to a plea for help in chaste Haryanvi
EAM Sushma Swaraj had responded to a call for help from an Indian youth in chaste Haryanvi.
New Delhi: External Affairs Minister and one of the Narendra Modi government's most pro-active members Sushma Swaraj had recently come to the rescue of an Indian youth married to a Kazakhstani girl, who was left with no option but to leave the country once her visa expires on August 1.
What is even more interesting that EAM Swaraj, who normally helps those who make distress calls, this time responded in chaste Haryanvi.
'Thari Bahu Ne Kaho Visa Badhan Khatar Arzi Daal De, Hum Uski Madad Kar Diyange. (Ask your wife to apply for a visa extension, we will help her)'.
Teenu Jangra, a youth from Samain village of Fatehabad, had gone to Saudi Arabia to work as a welder last year, according to a report by Bhashkar.com.
During his stay in Saudi Arabia, he befriended a girl called Zhanna on Facebook. After eight months of friendship, Zhanna finally expressed her desire to marry Teenu who in return asked the girl to come to India.
On May 29, 2015, the two got married at Vishwakarma temple at Tohana in Fatehabad as per Hindu rituals.
While their married life looked set, trouble soon followed as Zhanna's visa expiry date came near.
The duo ran from pillar to post seeking help but their efforts went in vain.
The MEA chief's tweet to help came as a major relief to the distressed couple, especially Zhanna, who feared getting separated from her husband.
