Mumbai: A video went viral on Wednesday showing Bhumata Brigade president Trupti Desai thrashing a young man after he refused to marry a woman with whom he was allegedly having an affair.

Desai, known for entering places of worship where women are prohibited, and her colleagues beat up Srikant Londhe with slippers at Pune-Ahmednagar road near Shirwal.


The woman rights activist said Londhe had sexually exploited a woman after promising to marry her. The woman was pregnant now.
