Jammu: State BJP leaders here on Saturday warned the Jammu and Kashmir government of dire consequences if it went ahead with its plan to shift the city`s main bus terminal to its outskirts. "There will be bloodshed if they try to shift the bus stand," senior BJP leader and MLA from Jammu (West), Ashok Khajuria warned. "It is a deliberate attempt to destroy trade (in the city). It is a conspiracy to destruct the old Jammu city," he added. Echoing Khajuria`s views, state BJP president Jugal Kishore Sharma said that the proposal to move the general bus stand from its existing location on BC Road to the outskirts of the city at Narwal was anti-trader and anti-Jammu.
BJP was holding a protest along with the members of a local traders` association outside Ragunath temple here demanding revocation of the decision to shift the bus stand.
