Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers party Wednesday demanded that Governor's rule be imposed in the state in the wake of violent clashes following the gunning down of Hizbul poster boy Burhan Wani by security forces last week.

"The party calls for imposition of Governor's rule under Section 92 of the J&K Constitution. This is essential and in the interest of people," JKNPP patron Bhim Singh said.


He said Kashmir was going through a crisis and the situation could only be controlled with the help of constitutional measures.


"The solution lies in ballots and not bullets," he said, exhorting protesting youths to fight elections.
