Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir government has kept unchanged the fares of various transportation services for this year's edition of the annual Amarnath Yatra.

"According to the Transport Commissioner, J&K Srinagar, the fares chargeable during Shri Amarnathji Yatra-2016 shall remain same as were applicable during the last year," an official spokesman said on Sunday.


The spokesman said the pilgrims have to pay the same amount for various services as were notified in 2014. The fares have remained unchanged in the past two years.


The annual pilgrimage to the Holy Cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas is scheduled to begin on July 2 and conclude on August 24, coinciding with Raksha Bandhan.
