Kota hottest at 45.4 deg

Rajasthan today with a maximum temperature of 45.4 degree Celsius as light to moderate rainfall occurred at isolated places in the state.

State capital Jaipur recorded the day temperature at 44.7 degree Celsius. Barmer, Jaisalmer, Ajmer and Churu recorded maximum of 43.4, 43, 42.9 and 41.8 degree Celsius respectively, according to a Met report here.

Heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated places in Bikaner, Jaipur, Ajmer, Kota and Udaipur divisions whereas light to moderate rainfall also occurred at isolated pockets in Bikaner, Jodhpur and Jaipur division.

The heat wave conditions are likely to remain unabated at a few places in the state during the next 24 hours, a forecast said.
