The Patels under the aegis of MP Patidar Samaj (MPPS) will also felicitate Patel stir spearhead in Gujarat, Hardik Patel on the occasion.

"To express our solidarity with the Patidar Anamat andolan (reservation agitation) underway in Gujarat and to felicitate our community leader of that state Hardik Patel, we are going to hold a mega rally on October 11 in Ratlam district," MPPS president Mahendra Patidar said here today.

He said Hardik will be the chief guest at the rally wherein the organisers are expecting a turnout of 2.5 lakh people.

"Patels have OBC status and are getting reservation across Madhya Pradesh barring three districts of Bhopal, Sehore and Rajgarh. This issue will be raised during the rally," he added.

The agitation being steered by Hardik, the young Patel leader, in the BJP-ruled Gujarat last month had brought a political churn with hordes of youths attending the massive rally that was organised under the Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) in Ahmedabad.

Ten people were killed in violence triggered after the rally in Gujarat.
