Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday paid tributes to the jawans, who laid down their lives in the Uri attack in Kashmir.

"Among Bharat Mata's brave sons who sacrificed their life doing their best to protect our nation, 4 were from Maharashtra," Fadnavis said in a tweet.


"I salute Lance Naik Chandrakant Galande(Satara), Sepoy Sandip Thok(Nashik), Sepoy Vikas Kulmethe (Yavatmal), Sepoy Panjab Uike(Amravati) and all martyrs."


"Not just us but entire nation is with the courageous families of these young bravehearts. My deepest condolences to their families," he tweeted.
