New Delhi: A medium intensity earthquake hit the Koyna region of Maharashtra Thursday.

According to the National Center for Seismology an earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale occurred at 11:37 pm at the depth of 15 kms.


However, there were no immediate reports of loss to life or property.


The Koyna region in Maharashtra is known as seismic zone. Yesterday, two medium intensity earthquakes of 3.7 and 3.9 had hit the region.
