Sarnaik recently submitted a memorandum in this regard to Maharashtra Public Works Minister Eknath Shinde.

He said the yet to be inaugurated Mumbai wing of the the flyover developed some snag which has further delayed its completion.

Notably, the bridge construction has been much delayed. Earlier Shinde, Sarnaik and Sena MP Rajan Vichare had demanded its speedy completion.

Sarnaik has also claimed that because of the delay, the construction cost has escalated five times and still the work remains incomplete.

In a separate memorandum, Sarnaik has urged the minister to explore the possibility of an elevated or an underground road from Gaimukh to Mira Road and also making it a six-lane path.

He said the Ghodbunder road has been witnessing huge traffic which is growing day-by-day as it serves as a link to the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway.

Sarnaik has also sought information on what steps the public works department is taking on demands for improvement of traffic management on Ghodbunder road.
