Suspected activists of Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) on Tuesday evening vandalised a toll plaza in Navi Mumbai, as per reports.
Mumbai: Suspected activists of Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) on Tuesday evening vandalised a toll plaza in Navi Mumbai, as per reports.
MNS activists last evening attacked the Kharghar toll plaza. Notably, the MNS had opposed the opening of the particular toll plaza.
It was MNS' second attack on the toll plaza, which was cleared for opening by the state public works department (PWD) in January this year.
Reports said some 15 MNS activists barged into the toll plaza shortly after 5:00 pm and attacked the staff without any provocation.
The staff was allegedly manhandled and one of them was even hit on the head with a bottle.
The attack was captured by CCTV cameras installed at the toll plaza.
The company running the toll plaza has lodged an FIR with the Kharghar police and investigations into the case have begun.
So far, the police haven't arrested any suspect as yet.
