NCP asks Tawde to put up his class XII marksheet on Twitter
The NCP on Thursday dared the Maharashtra Education Minister Vinod Tawde to put up his class 12th marksheet on the Twitter.
Mumbai: The NCP on Thursday dared the Maharashtra Education Minister Vinod Tawde to put up his class 12th marksheet on the Twitter.
NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik said here that contrary to the minister's statement, he had not asked for the marksheet through an RTI query, but only sought to know whether Tawde had cleared his class 12th examination.
Tawde had been targeted by the opposition in the recent past over his engineering degree from a non-recognised institute.
"However, the RTI query was turned down under pressure from the minister," said Malik, who had earlier alleged that Tawde hadn't passed class 12th.
"BJP ministers are on Twitter and talk of 'Digital India' and 'Digital Maharashtra'. I am writing a letter to Tawde, asking him to post his marksheet on Twitter. I don't want to waste his time by meeting him personally," Malik said, referring to the latter's statement that those interested in his marksheet should meet him to see it.
"If the minister is genuinely transparent, he should post his marksheet on Twitter and his Facebook page. I will wait for 10-15 days for his response and then lead a morcha to his house or office to seek details about his class 12th qualification," Malik said.
