Mumbai: The Mumbai Police have got hold of a threat email sent by Indrani Mukerjea to her daughter Sheena Bora a month before she was murdered, as per a report.
The police stumbled upon three messages in Sheena's inbox while they were going through Indrani's laptop.
Indrani is accused of killing Sheena along with two others.
As per a report in The Times of India, one of the emails was sent by Indrani on March 8, 2012.
It was addressed to Sheena and forwarded to Mikhail (Indrani's son and Sheena's brother.)
As per the report, Indrani threatened to disinherit both her children if they acted smart.
She also threatened to stop their monthly allowance of of Rs 40,000 each.
Indrani, wife of former Star CEO Peter Mukerjea, sent two more mails to Sheena dated May 4 and July 7, 2012.
Indrani allegedly strangled Sheena with the help of her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and her driver Shyamvar Rai on April 24, 2012.
Later, Sheena's body was burnt in Raigad district the next day.
The report says that it was not clear why Indrani had sent the last two mails, after Sheena was murdered.
One reason could have been to throw off investigators, according to officials.
Though Mikhail supposedly did not reply to his mother, Sheena replied to Indrani and in turn threatened to expose her in front of Peter.
Indrani was apparently hiding from her husband that Sheena and Mikhail were her children and called them her siblings in front of the world.
