Thane: A 20-year-old villager was arrested here for allegedly raping a teenage girl for three days under the pretext of marrying her, district rural police said on Saturday.
According to PSI AV Salunke of Wada police station, the accused Nagesh M Wagh was arrested last night and was charged under sections 376,363, 366-A and also sections 6 and 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 following a complaint by the victim. The incident took place on April 17 when the 17-year-old girl was on her way to work in Kandivali that Wagh, who lives in the same locality offered her lift on his motorbike and took her to an isolated place. He then repeatedly raped the girl till April 20 and allegedly abandoned her after which she approached the cops.
