Zee Media Bureau/Tarun Khanna Kolkata: Trinamool Congress MP Tapas Pal, who stirred a controversy by threatening to get the Opposition party`s women raped, is a known face of Tollywood (Bengal film industry). The second time Lok Sabha MP from Krishnanagar, Pal has several movies, including Madhuri Dixit`s debut film `Abodh`, to his credit. He also won a Filmfare Award for his role in `Saheb` and acted in many other movies such as `Bhalobasha Bhalobasha` and `Guru Dakshina`. Later, he was also accused of being absent from his constituency and not fulfilling his election promises. Pal had earlier been in the eye of storm when in a rally at Tehatta, he had asked party activists to beat up CPI(M) workers with shoes.
