Heroin seized in Mizoram

Aizawl: Mizoram Excise and Narcotics department officials have seized 104 gm of heroin, worth about Rs 3.5 lakh from a person in Aizawl yesterday

A local man, Zomuanpuia (21), has been arrested in this connection, a department spokesperson today said.

The contraband was reportedly smmugled from Myanmar.

The accused was booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 and remanded to judicial custody.
