Reliance 40th AGM: Kokilaben breaks down as Mukesh Ambani paid tribute to Dhirubhai
As Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) chairman Mukesh Ambani paid tribute to father Dhirubhai Ambani before addressing the 40th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Birla Matushri Sabhagar, his mother Kokilaben Ambani broke down into tears.
New Delhi: As Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) chairman Mukesh Ambani paid tribute to father Dhirubhai Ambani before addressing the 40th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Friday at the Birla Matushri Sabhagar, his mother Kokilaben Ambani broke down into tears.
Speaking at the event, Mukesh Ambai said, '' I want to dedicate these 40 years of achievement and records to only one person, founder chairman D Ambani."
Ambani also launched the much rumoured 4G feature handset known as JioPhone – what he called will be 'India ka Intelligent Smart Phone. During the event, the RIL chairman asserted that the JioPhone will be a 4G enabled cost-efficient feature phone that can work on voice commands.
''Today, I am delighted to announce that JioPhone will be available to all Indians for an effective price of Rs 0,'' Mukesh Ambani said. While launching the phone, he said that the plan is to collect a fully refundable, one-time, security deposit of Rs 1,500. The handsets to be available for pre-booking from August 24. It will have pre- loaded apps of Reliance Jio like Jio TV, Jio Money etc. The phone will also have facilities like Wi-Fi connectivity and browsing. Along with that he also announced its cable TV device.
