New Delhi: It is quite unfortunate that the rapidly progressing India still remains home to the world’s largest number of population where open defecation is practised.

To address the issue, WaterAid, a non-profit organisation has come up with an app namely #GiveA**. The app lets a user create their own poop emojis and then share them. Using humour to attract attention is indeed a great idea.

The campaign started by WaterAid is named as the #GiveAShit campaign. The whole idea is to promote awareness about open defecation and to ensure sanitary water and toilet access worldwide.

According to a report by the United Nations, around 2.4 billion people in the world don't have access to decent sanitation and more than a billion are forced to defecate in the open, risking disease and other dangers.
