New Delhi: Google introduces health cards, known as medical knowledge card in Knowledge graph to provide easy access to the basic healthcare facilities in India.


Now when someone will search about the common health condition, the card will appear on mobile or desktop screen with all the the relevant information about the disease. This feature is live on Google app and is also compatible with Android, iOS and tablets.


Google worked with Apollo and Columbia Asia hospitals to study the content and primary health facilities avilable in India. India is the third country in a row after US and Brazil to have health information in Knowledge graph.


The health cards are available in both English and Hindi languages to bridge the gap between the common names and scientific names of the diseses.


In order to cope up with the slow-speed internet, the search engine giants noted that it is launching 'Lite Cards' in India so that it could also run on low internet speed.


The best part of this update is that it contains lots of images and can be easily downloaded to PDF's.


The company also clarifies that the search results are not intended as medical advice but for informational purpose only.
