New Delhi: Everyone is in holiday mood and the spirit of Christmas is all around! It's Christmas and NASA is in the mood for obvious celebration!

NASA is helping the solar system get into the holiday spirit and has released an image of Pluto in the colours of Christmas to spread Christmas cheer!

It seems like the dwarf planet was the obvious choice for the Christmas makeover since it is known as the coldest planet of the solar system.

NASA says the New Horizons composition team used infrared wavelength ranges in blue, green and red color channels to create this Christmas portrait of Pluto.

Christening it 'Christmas Pluto', NASA says this image was produced by the New Horizons composition team, using a pair of Ralph/LEISA instrument scans obtained at approximately 9:40 AM on July 14, from a mean range of 67,000 miles (108,000 kilometers). The resolution is about 7 kilometers per LEISA pixel.
