Dhaka: Bangladesh Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal announced on Saturday that some of those involved in the recent killings of bloggers have been identified.
"Some of them have been identified and attempts are on to identify the rest," the minister said.
Five secular bloggers and writers have been hacked to death by suspected Islamist radicals in a similar way over the last eight months but police investigations have not shown much, except coming up with 'some names', bdnews24 reported.
The minister, however, said that trials would be held for all the killings.
"Chargesheets have been submitted in two cases already and are under process in two more."
The recent killings of freethinkers are part of a conspiracy to destabilise the country, claimed the home minister.
"It is part of local and foreign conspiracies. War crimes trials are on in the country. These killings are being carried out to foil the trials."
The law enforcement agencies had been kept on the highest alert, he said.
