Female suicide bomber targets top Pakistani politician
In a bid to blow up a top politician, a female suicide bomber on Monday detonated the explosives tied to her body near the convoy of the targeted leader in Mohmand district of Pakistan.

Peshawar: In a bid to blow up a top politician, a female suicide bomber on Monday detonated the explosives tied to her body near the convoy of the targeted leader in Mohmand district of Pakistan.
Qazi Hussain Ahmad, the former chief of Jamat-e-Islami, escaped unhurt but three of his aides were wounded in the suicide attac k. A government official said that the lady bomber was draped in a burqa, with explosives on her body.
Though, so far no group has claimed the responsibility for the attack.
However, it is being suspected that Pakistani Taliban may be behind the assassination bid, as the targeted leader had been recently criticized by the militant outfit’s chief Hakimullah Mehsud in an audio message. Pakistani Taliban had slammed Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan and Qazi Hussain Ahmad for supporting Pakistan`s U.S.-allied rulers.
