Kabul: A key Taliban leader has been killed in an air strike in an air strike by NATO-led troops in Afghanistan, the coalition forces said Sunday.
The dead man, identified only as Asad, is also linked with Pakistani outfit Tehrik-Nefaz-i-Shariat-Muhammadi.
Asad and two other militants were killed in Darah-ye Pech district of Kunar province, Xinhua reported. Based in Marawara district, Asad was involved in numerous attacks against Afghan forces.
