NASA has released a GIF image of comet ISON`s momentous brush with the Sun on Thanksgiving Day.

New Delhi: NASA has released a GIF image of comet ISON’s momentous brush with the Sun on Thanksgiving Day.
The comet gave scientists a scare when it disappeared during its closest approach to the sun but now it is believed that a smaller version of it may have escaped the fiery incident. “Continuing a history of surprising behaviour, material from Comet ISON appeared on the other side of the sun on the evening on Nov. 28, 2013, despite not having been seen in observations during its closest approach to the sun,” said NASA.
“Late-night analysis from scientists with NASA`s Comet ISON Observing Campaign suggests that there is at least a small nucleus intact”.
