Chennai floods: Eight most-affected areas

Chennai: Heavy rains are continuing to lash Chennai and the situation is not expected to become anytime better soon, with IMD forecasting more intense showers.

Several areas in the Chennai and neighbouring areas have got flooded with people stranded on streets, rooftops and other places.

Eight of the most affected areas in Chennai and suburbs, as per reports, are:

1. West Mambalam
2. Anna Nagar
3. Villivakkam
4. Vadapalani
5. Valasaravakkam
6. Nandamvakkam
7. Tambaram
8. Mudichur
