Chennai: DMDK chief Captain Vijayakanth, a key player in the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections 2016, became the centre of a controversy on Wednesday.

According to reports, Vijayakanth lost his cool while campaigning in Salem and threatened to slap journalists.


The reason behind the provocation was not clear.


 


Vijayakanth, the chief ministerial candidate of the DMDK-PWF alliance, is contesting the elections from Ullundurpet.


He shifted his seat from Rishivandiyam where he successfully contested the 2011 Assembly election as an AIADMK ally.
