DMK chief Karunanidhi discharged from hospital after being treated for allergy related issues, dehydration
Karunanidhi was on Wednesday discharged from Kauvery hospital in Chennai.
Chennai: DMK president M Karunanidhi was on Wednesday discharged from Kauvery hospital in Chennai.
"Karunanidhi has improved substantially. All vital signs and biochemical parameters have normalised now, advised to rest," the hospital was quoted as saying by ANI.
He was hospitalised on December 01 for treatment of a drug-induced allergy.
"Kalaignar (Karunanidhi), who had received treatment (at home) for the allergy and was taking rest, has been admitted to Kauvery Hospital to undergo further tests and related treatments," the DMK had said in a release.
On the other hand, the hospital had said that Karunanidhi was "admitted for optimisation of nutrition and hydration", as per PTI.
On October 25, DMK had announced that Karunanidhi was suffering from allergy "caused by a medicine he has been using" and advised rest by doctors.
The leader had skipped campaigning in the elections to three Tamil Nadu Assembly seats last month.
Ruling AIADMK won all three constituencies.
