Demand reservation with politeness: UP CM to youth
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Friday called upon the youth to demand quota in jobs with politeness so no one can raise a finger.
Jaipur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Friday called upon the youth to demand quota in jobs with politeness so no one can raise a finger.
"Every one says there should be reservation, there should be a debate on it...But some want discussion only to defame the reservation seekers ...", Akhilesh said while addressing a national convention of All India Yuva Yadav Maha Sabha at Birla Auditorium here.
"Hence you (people seeking quotas) have to keep a vigil on it and if you want reservation in jobs then demand it with politeness so no one can raise a finger," the UP CM said.
"...It is not only you who are demanding reservations, there would be others too ... So my appeal is to knit people together, have a big heart so people could unite with you", he said.
When some reporters asked him about RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's call for a review of quotas, Yadav said, "I do not know about RSS."
"If any clash or any adverse thing happens in Andhra Pradesh or Tamil Nadu, they would show just the news. But if something happens in Uttar Pradesh, there would be two pictures; one of incident and another of CM running in breaking news... Media is doing free publicity of UP government...Otherwise a package is to be taken for publicity on electronic media," he quipped.
