Rifles loot: Accused arrested with firearms
Police Friday claimed to have solved rifles loot case of March 9 with the arrest of an accused, carrying reward of Rs 12,000, and recovered the firearm from his possession in Charthawal area here.
Muzaffarnagar: Police Friday claimed to have solved rifles loot case of March 9 with the arrest of an accused, carrying reward of Rs 12,000, and recovered the firearm from his possession in Charthawal area here.
The accused identified as Vivek, member of Rahul Khatta's gang, was arrested and a self-loading rifle, four live cartridges and four looted cars were recovered from his possession, Superintendent of Police Sarvan Kumar said.
Two policemen were seriously injured on March 9 after Vivek and Rahul opened fire on them during vehicle checking and escaped with their two rifles near Biralsi village under Charthawal police station.
The other rifle was recovered from Rahul's possession who was killed on June 5 in the encounter with police in Saharanpur.
