New Delhi: Just days after the famous rift within Samajwadi Party's Yadav clan caused a political storm, SP patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav on Tuesday met Congress' strategist for Uttar Pradesh Prashant Kishor at his residence here.

Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh, who is said to be very close to Mulayam, was also present in the meeting, according to ANI report.


While the details of the meeting were not revealed, it comes as speculation is on about Congress and SP looking at forging an alliance in poll-bound Uttar Pradesh. Sources said that Mulayam and Prashant Kishore discussed possibilities of a Bihar-like grand alliance in the poll-bound state. 


Kishor, said to be close to party Vice President Rahul Gandhi, is formulating the strategy for Congress in the state. 


Earlier, Kishor and Samajwadi Party Uttar Pradesh chief Shivpal Yadav are said to have met at Janata Dal-United (JD-U) leader KC Tyagi`s residence.


Shivpal Yadav has also invited Rashtriya Lok Dal leader Ajit Singh and Tyagi to the anniversary function of SP on November 5.
