An Indian court on Thursday overturned Salman Khan’s conviction for culpable homicide in a hit-and-run incident in Mumbai more than a decade ago, according to the Bollywood superstar’s lawyer.Amit Desai said the Bombay High Court upheld Mr. Khan’s appeal against a conviction and five-year jail sentence awarded by a lower court in May.The 49-year-old star — one of the biggest names in the Indian film industry – was found guilty by the lower court of running over a group of people sleeping on a sidewalk in Mumbai in 2002, killing one and injuring four.
