Kolkata: In a boost for CPI(M)-Congress alliance in West Bengal, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi is expected to address three election rallies in the state on Wednesday.
As per reports, Rahul is likely to share stage with former Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya at an election rally in Park Circus Maidan.
Earlier, CPI(M) leaders like Ritabrata Banerjee, Dipak Dasgupta and Banghsa Gopal Chowdhury have shared stage with Gandhi during his election rallies in Bengal.
Gandhi will be in Bengal for campaigning today and is slated to attend three election meetings in East Midnapore district, South 24 Parganas district and the last one at Park Circus in the city.
According to CPI(M) and Congress leaders, Bhattacharya, one of the main architects to Congress-CPI(M) alliance in Bengal, sharing stage with Rahul Gandhi will boost the workers of the alliance ahead of the last two phases on April 30 and May 5.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's Bhawanipore constituency will go to polls on April 30.
