Mollah made outrageous comments against the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate, saying that “she really is Draupadi”.

Speaking to Bengali news channel ABP Ananda, Mollah, who was expelled from Left in 2014, said, “I know the length of the cigarettes she (Roopa) smokes or with whom she lives with.”

The Election Commission has, meanwhile, issued a showcause notice to Molla.

Molla, a former CPI-M leader, has been fielded by TMC from Bhangar Assembly constituency in South 24 Parganas district.

Roopa Ganguly is the BJP's candidate from Howrah North constituency.
