Two coaches of Capital Express train derails near Samuktala station, no casualties

Kolkata: Two coaches of Capital Express train derailed near Samuktala station on Tuesday evening.

However, no casualties were reported.

Tweeting about the accident, Ministry of Railways said, "Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu has directed chairman, Railway Board to ensure immediate relief, monitor situation, take appropriate action. As per information coming from site, prima facie cause of minor derailment is jumping of red signal by driver. Thorough inquiry will be subsequently conducted and action will be taken against the guilty."
