33 migrants killed as two boats capsize off Turkish coast

Ankara: At least 33 migrants drowned on Monday as two boats capsized off Turkey`s Aegean coast, the media reported.

At least 22 migrants were killed when a boat carrying migrants bound for the Greek island of Lesbos capsized off Turkey`s Edremit Bay. The Turkish Coast Guard rescued four migrants from the sea, Xinhua reported.

Eleven other migrants were drowned off Izmir`s Dikili coast in another capsizing. Three migrants were rescued.
