Absurd! Sex dolls a big hit among elderly men in China

London: This may sound ludicrous but that's how many elderly Chinese men in the country are keeping themselves occupied as it has emerged!

Ageing men who are finding increasingly difficult to find suitable partners in China are relying on sex dolls to satisfy their carnal desires, said a report.

As a result, demand for inflatable sex dolls has shot up manifold of late in some parts of the country, leading to a surge in sales, the MailOnline reported.

Adult shops that sells inflatable sex dolls have mushroomed over time in Xi'an city. Today, there are some 2,000 adult shops in the back streets of the city.

A big chunk of their customer base is pensioners and their numbers are growing by the day, the report said on Saturday.

Some of these ageing men have been widowed while others have found that their wives are no longer interested in sex.

These men also see these dolls as companions in life as they no longer have regular contact with their children, the report added.
