Bogota: A group of women dressed in miniskirts have mobilised outside of one of Colombia`s most-famed nightspots to protest comments by its owner that a woman`s high hemline may have contributed to her alleged sexual assault.
Protester Marcela Clavijo says "A woman has the right to show her body the way she wants to." She`s one of about 20 women who joined Sunday`s protest outside the Andres Carne de Res in the capital. Restaurant owner Andres Jaramillo drew intense criticism after a radio interview last week in which he questioned whether a 20-year-old woman was raped in the restaurant`s parking lot and commented on the woman`s attire. Police are still investigating and no arrests have been made.
