The men were put to death by hanging on Sunday after a military court handed down death sentences against them last October, Egypt`s official Mina news agency reported.

The hangings were carried out after former President Mohammed Morsi and numerous leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood were sentenced to death on Saturday for escaping from prison during the 2011 revolution.

The executed terrorists were arrested during raids by security forces and were found guilty of murdering two officials in the Arab Sherkes zone, and attacking a bus carrying soldiers in the Al Amiriya area and a security post in Mostorod, all of which are located in Qaliubiya province north of Cairo.

Egyptian authorities are pursuing large military crackdowns throughout the nation against Islamist forces.
