At least 20 bombs were dropped on militant hideouts in Raqqa. Ten fighter planes were involved in the raids.

The raid has destroyed a key command centre, a training camp and munitions dump of the ISIS, throwing the city into panic, Daily Mail reported on Monday.

The French strikes come two days after President Francois Hollande declared the Paris attack an 'act of war' and vowed to hit ISIS 'without mercy'.

At least 129 people were killed in bomb and gun attack in Paris on last Friday night.
